Content Editor's Guide

How to create, edit, and manage content using the DrupalReady admin dashboard and content forms.

The Dashboard

After logging in, you'll see the DrupalReady Dashboard at /admin/dashboard. It shows:

  • Content statistics (published, drafts, this week)
  • Quick action buttons to create content
  • Recent content list
  • Getting started checklist

Use the quick actions to create new content instantly.

Creating Content

Click any 'Create' button on the dashboard or go to Content > Add Content. Each content type has a simplified form with:

  • Clear field labels and descriptions
  • Help text explaining what each field does
  • Required fields marked with red asterisks
  • Collapsed advanced options (SEO, URL, scheduling)

Working with Paragraphs

Paragraphs are flexible content blocks you add to pages. Click 'Add paragraph' and choose from pre-built components like Hero Banner, Card Grid, CTA Section, etc. Each paragraph has its own fields — fill them in and reorder by dragging.

Managing Media

Upload images and files directly in content forms. All media is stored in the Media Library (Content > Media) for easy reuse. Always add alt text to images — the system requires it for accessibility.

Publishing

Click 'Save & Publish' to make content live immediately. Use 'Save as Draft' to save without publishing. If content moderation is enabled, content goes through Draft → Review → Published workflow.
